Meet the Crew
Main podcast host, creator and producer is Jen Skalbeck, a former tech and nonprofit manager who started hiking weekly while working in Turkey in 2015 and now dabbles in every outdoor activity she can find. She was introduced to mountain biking and overlanding by her now husband and occasional podcast co-host, Mat Hager.
Mat is a Navy submarine veteran who is currently COO of Campworks, producing electrified offroad teardrop trailers in Colorado, and cooking up creative meals as the main camp chef. They got married on a camping trip to Orcas Island in 2022 and will be living full time out of their trailer in spring 2025, with a cat!
